Jordan clean technology sector report 2016 that was released by EDAMA association , showed that Jordan ranks second in the region for being a conducive environment for renewable-energy and energy-efficiency investments , where there is about 1,335 megawatts of wind and solar projects that are currently under development and about 400 megawatts operational ones.

It is important to highlight that Jordan leads the MENA region in the net-metering and wheeling fields whereas 84 megawatts are installed out of the 370 megawatts that are required under the net-metering and wheeling schemes.

Jordan also ranked third among 71 countries around the world after China and Brazil according to what was announced by Petra.
